SAINT-GABRIEL-DE-VALCARTIER, Que. - All 16 Canadian soldiers sent to hospital after they were injured on a Quebec military base have been released.

The Canadian Armed Forces said two armoured vehicles were involved in an accident in a training area of Canadian Forces Base Valcartier.

The military did not disclose details on how the soldiers were injured.

Civilian and military emergency services responded to the scene at the base, located outside Quebec City.

Sixteen members of the 5 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group were sent to four Quebec City-area hospitals as a precaution and to get treatment for minor injuries.

A spokesperson says all personnel were released as of Wednesday morning and repairs have begun on the damaged equipment.
