Visiting Us

LIU Riverhead, located on the grounds of Suffolk County Community College's Eastern Campus in Riverhead, New York, welcomes visitors to meet with admissions and financial aid staff and tour our facilities. Administrative offices are open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. We also have late hours until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesdays. The Admissions Office hosts several open houses, registration nights and information sessions throughout the year. The best way to reach the campus is by car or public transportation. Students are welcome to observe a class and meet with professors. In addition, counselors and faculty also are available by phone and e-mail to discuss educational and career goals.

Best known as "the gateway to the East End," Riverhead is the center point where Long Island's north and south forks split. The county seat of Suffolk, Riverhead is currently enjoying a boom in population, housing and area attractions. A popular tourist destination, Riverhead is a study in contrasts, offering both traditional venues that Long Island is well-known for such as vineyards and farm stands as well as fast-paced recreational activities including skydiving and car racing. A cultural hot-spot, the Long Island Blues Festival, the historic Vail-Leavitt Music Hall and the East End Arts Council all call Riverhead home. As the town grows in popularity, a host of retailers have built stores including the widely popular Tanger Outlet Center.

LIU Riverhead, located in the heart of the Pine Barrens, is within easy reach to all of the town's jewels, while retaining its rural charm with shady trees and plenty of outdoor seating. Situated on the grounds of the Eastern Campus of Suffolk County Community College (off County Road 51 Riverhead-Moriches Road), the Riverhead location offers ample parking and the use of such SCCC facilities as the cafeteria, bookstore and library. Classes are held in the 91泡芙 Building.
