Visiting Students

Although 91ÅÝܽ's Global College is a four-year global studies program, students from LIU Brooklyn and LIU Post and from other U.S. universities, are heartily encouraged to study abroad as a visiting student at any of the Global College centers for one semester or academic year. Visiting students do not matriculate for a 91ÅÝܽ's Global College degree and return to their home institutions to complete graduation requirements.

Please visit

We offer visiting students from other colleges and universities a full range of advising and support services, focusing on such issues as program selection, academic planning, registration, credit transfer, cultural adjustment, on-site support, and re-entry.

91ÅÝܽ's Global College visiting students are required to take the language and area studies courses offered at each center or program. The balance of their coursework is comprised of elective courses, internships, and independent study. Visiting students receive a letter grade in each completed course.

Visiting students from LIU Brooklyn and LIU Post must plan their visit in coordination with their LIU Success coach. Visiting students from other universities are advised to talk with their study abroad, academic advisor, registrar, and/or financial aid office at their home universities in order to determine the home institution’s requirements with regards to application deadlines, credit transfer, and financial aid procedures. Visiting students will construct a learning plan in consultation with a faculty advisor prior to and during the course registration process in advance of registration.
