The Center for Healthy Living provides mental health counseling, nutrition counseling, and health services to 91ÅÝܽ students.
91ÅÝܽ students have access to on-campus mental health counseling services, nutrition counseling, religious and spiritual counseling, and access to tele-heath and local in-person health care. The Center for Healthy Living has licensed mental health professionals, graduate student therapists, and nutritionists to provide consultation and support. Medical referrals are made in partnership with Northwell Health - GoHealth.
The Center for Healthy Living is a collaboration of on-campus resources and strong partnerships with local health organizations and professionals, including , , the LIU Post Psychological Services Center, and the LIU Post Nutrition Department.
The Center for Healthy Living is committed to improve student health and well being through prevention, outreach, education, and clinical services, as well as to equip and empower collaborators for students in need.
Program Objectives: As a result of participating in the CHL, students and collaborators will be able to:
Student Health and Counseling Confidentiality Policy
All health and counseling services and records are confidential in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines and are not part of a student's academic record. Information about health services received, a student's participation in counseling, or counseling information cannot be released without a written consent authorizing the release of specified information and naming the person(s) to receive the information, unless where law or emergency situations require it.
