WASHINGTON (AP) 鈥 President Joe Biden sat down on Friday with former late-night television host Conan O鈥橞rien for an interview on the comedian鈥檚 podcast.
Conan O鈥橞rien, the former host of NBC鈥檚 鈥淭he Tonight Show鈥 and 鈥淟ate Night,鈥 was spotted by reporters in the White House briefing room ahead of the interview, but was coy when asked about the purpose of his visit to the White House.
鈥淭hey won鈥檛 let me take questions,鈥 O'Brien said. 鈥淏ut boy, do I have the answers to everything.鈥
The White House later confirmed that Biden was interviewed by the comedian for his podcast 鈥淐onan O鈥橞rien Needs a Friend.鈥
O鈥橞rien said he鈥檚 previously visited the White House and is in thrall of its history.
鈥淚鈥檓 a huge history buff slash nerd. So believe it or not, I like read a lot of books about the White House,鈥 O鈥橞rien told reporters. 鈥淓very time I come here, I mean, just I get the same feeling 鈥 just like this is amazing. It鈥檚 absolutely incredible.鈥
