Graduate Checklist


Congratulations on your acceptance to LIU Riverhead and the graduate teacher education programs. We welcome you to the LIU community and are confident that you will enjoy your time here as you continue to develop your expertise in the field of teacher education as you pursue your advanced degree. Now that you have received a formal offer of acceptance, we ask that you please follow the steps below to complete the registration process that will confirm your status as an enrolled student. We look forward to having you enroll at 91ÅÝܽ.

Pay Your Tuition Deposit
Download and complete the . Mail the form along with a nonrefundable $100 tuition deposit made payable by credit card, check or money order to: LIU Riverhead, 121 Speonk Riverhead Road-LIU Bldg.; Riverhead, N.Y. 11901. Please include your student I.D. number on the memo portion of the check or money order. Your 9-digit LIU student I.D. number can be found on your acceptance letter. If you do not know your I.D. number, please contact the Admissions Office at 631-287-8010.

Apply for Financial Aid
If you have not already completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), we urge you to do so as soon as possible. Logon to . The FAFSA is used to apply for federal, New York State and university grants, scholarships and other financial aid. Our Federal School Code is: 002751. If you need help along the way, contact the Financial Assistance Office at 631-287-8322, email riverhead@liu.edu or click on the link.

Complete Health Forms
LIU Riverhead requires all enrolled students to complete the following health forms:

REGISTER FOR CLASSES
You can expect to be contacted by a faculty advisor who will assist you in scheduling an appointment to discuss course registration. Or, you may contact the Education Program Office directly to schedule an appointment with an advisor, who will help you select your courses, talk to you about the requirements for your degree and advise you on registration for the upcoming semester. Set Up Your My LIU Account
After you have registered for classes, you can set up a account, which will give you access to your course schedule, grades, financial aid, billing information and online course registration. To create your account, you will need your 9-digit University ID number, which is included on your acceptance letter. Go to and create a user name and password. You can use My LIU to designate individuals (such as your spouse or parents) to view your tuition bill and pay your tuition online. You can also use My LIU as your official email address. Tell your friends and family they can email you at firstname.lastname@my.liu.edu.

Submit Your Final Transcripts
If you haven’t already done so, please make sure to send a final official transcript for all schools you have attended to the Office of Admissions. If you have a question about the status of your transcripts, contact Admissions at 631-287-8010 and ask to speak with an admissions counselor.
