Staffing Management

Staffing Management deals with the strategies, tactics and processes for identifying, recruiting and retaining the human resources needed to support all current and future University activities. It includes developing, implementing and evaluating programs鈥攊n compliance with equal employment opportunity laws and regulations鈥攆or sourcing, recruiting, hiring, orienting and retaining talent, as well as for succession planning and organizational exit. This function focuses on careers, communications, legal and regulatory issues, technology, metrics and outsourcing in the staffing management field, as well as effective staffing management practices and global staffing management issues. Through this area, the Department responds to local, national and regulatory surveys that pertain to the University鈥檚 employee base.
